Quick answers
Frequently asked questions
Can I see a dentist the same day?
We do everything we can to see dental emergencies the same day. Message us on WhatsApp or call as early as you can, and tell us what's happened.
What should I do if a tooth is knocked out?
Hold the tooth by the white crown, not the root. If it's dirty, rinse it briefly in milk or water without scrubbing. Try to put it back in its socket, or keep it in milk, and get to a dentist as fast as you can — ideally within the hour. For a baby tooth, don't push it back in; just bring your child in.
What can I do for toothache until my appointment?
Rinse with warm salt water, gently floss to remove any trapped food, and hold a cold compress against your cheek if there's swelling. Don't put painkillers directly on the gum. Contact us as soon as you can.
When is a dental problem a medical emergency?
Go to a hospital emergency department straight away if you have swelling that affects your breathing, swallowing or eye, a high fever with facial swelling, or heavy bleeding that won't stop. For most other dental emergencies, contact us.
This page is general information, not a diagnosis. Every mouth is different — we'll advise on your own situation after an examination.
